Core Design provides ongoing design consulting services, master-planning and maintenance planning for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) Seattle Temple grounds. Responsibilities included the study and inventory of existing facilities and site elements such as softscapes, hardscapes, utility systems, and site furniture. After a full understanding of the existing conditions of the site, Core led the effort to develop a master-plan which emphasized inviting visitors and patrons to feel and experience a sense of order, clarity, simplicity, and refinement as they move about the site while keeping in mind the design intentions of the original 1980 master-plan.
